THE SAHARA
Pedro and I all prepared for a desert storm.
This is what it looks like when a camel stands up
The blowing wind made beautiful patterns on the sand (L) and the auberge we
stayed in at the edge of the desert (R)
The Sahara desert.
And the camels that took us out.
AZROU
Our next stop was in the town of Azrou, in the Middle Atlas mountains. We
are with Abdellah, another friend
of Mat and Rachel's.

The Alpha male of the ape troop.
FEZ
Our next city was Fez. This is one of the main gates into the old medina.
Another main gate into the medina.
One of the medersas, or Islamic schools, within the medina in Fez.
One of the doorways of Fez at night.
Everything is done within the Medina. This is a tannery we visited.
They clean, dye, and tan the animal hides. The smell is terrible.
